Responsibilities
- System Architecture & Analysis: Lead the end-to-life cycle of system analysis, from requirements gathering to system design, implementation, and post-implementation support.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to define technical requirements and ensure project milestones are met.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system diagrams, process flows, and operational manuals.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement solutions to ensure 99.9% uptime for government services.
- Security Compliance: Ensure all IT systems adhere to state and federal security standards, including data privacy regulations (GDPR/CCPA) and internal security protocols.
- Legacy Modernization: Spearhead efforts to upgrade legacy systems to modern, scalable cloud-based architectures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in IT systems analysis, preferably within the government or public sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Java; strong understanding of Linux/Windows server environments and virtualization technologies.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, PMP, or ITIL v4 are highly desirable.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for non-technical stakeholders.
- San Francisco Residency: Preference given to candidates currently residing in San Francisco, CA.
