Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective technical specifications and system designs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various state agencies to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions, including web applications and database systems, using modern programming languages.
- Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software delivery and minimal downtime.
- Monitor system performance and implement necessary optimizations to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with state and federal data privacy regulations.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance to project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and progressive work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems analysis, software development, or IT consulting.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, and one or more backend languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a negative background check and appropriate security clearance.
