Responsibilities
- Design & Deploy: Architect, implement, and maintain scalable IT infrastructure for federal and state clients, ensuring high availability and security.
- Security Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to federal regulations (NIST, FISMA, DIACAP) and implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data.
- System Administration: Oversee server maintenance, cloud management (AWS/Azure), and network operations to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the primary technical liaison for government stakeholders, translating complex requirements into actionable technical solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and compliance audit records.
- Crisis Management: Lead incident response efforts for system outages and security breaches, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal impact.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Security Clearance: Current active Secret or higher clearance is required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux/Windows administration, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Networking: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and network topology.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
