Responsibilities
- Maintain public facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks, graders, and asphalt pavers
- Perform emergency storm drain maintenance during inclement weather
- Lead crew projects for sidewalk repairs and street resurfacing
- Conduct routine safety inspections of municipal assets
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement plans
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- 3+ years of municipal maintenance or public works experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (CDL Class A/B a plus)
- Experience with GIS mapping systems and digital reporting tools
- Knowledge of California Public Contract Code requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
