Responsibilities
- Architect Scalable Solutions: Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade network architectures (LAN/WAN) ensuring optimal performance and redundancy.
- Cybersecurity Leadership: Oversee network security policies, firewall configurations, and VPN implementations to defend against evolving cyber threats.
- Performance Monitoring: Utilize advanced monitoring tools to analyze network traffic, identify bottlenecks, and proactively resolve issues.
- Incident Management: Lead the troubleshooting and recovery efforts for network outages and security incidents with zero downtime targets.
- Modernization Projects: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) and IoT solutions into legacy state systems.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all network infrastructure strictly adheres to state and federal cybersecurity compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Proven track record of 5+ years in network engineering and infrastructure management.
- Certifications: Must hold active certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, OSPF/BGP, and network segmentation.
- Cloud Proficiency: Experience with cloud networking concepts and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Communication: Ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders and government officials clearly.
