Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance teams in park infrastructure upkeep including irrigation systems, pathways, and recreational facilities
- Operate heavy equipment (mowers, tractors, chainsaws) with precision and safety compliance
- Implement sustainable landscaping practices and invasive species management
- Coordinate emergency storm response for park assets
- Mentor junior staff on proper equipment usage and maintenance protocols
- Conduct daily site inspections and submit detailed maintenance reports
- Collaborate with horticulture teams for seasonal planting projects
Qualifications
- 3+ years of municipal or commercial park maintenance experience
- Valid Oregon Class B Commercial Driver's License
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification
- Expertise in irrigation system maintenance and repair
- Strong knowledge of Pacific Northwest native plants
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Experience with CMMS work order systems
