Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of major Philadelphia parks including scheduling, maintenance, and event coordination
- Develop and implement innovative recreational programs for diverse community demographics
- Manage park budgets and resource allocation efficiently
- Lead cross-functional teams during large-scale community events
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and ADA standards
- Conduct park facility assessments and improvement planning
- Collaborate with city officials on green space development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Parks & Recreation, Environmental Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal parks management
- CPRP (Certified Parks and Recreation Professional) certification preferred
- Proven budget management experience ($500k+)
- Strong conflict resolution and community engagement skills
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean record
- Experience supervising teams of 10+ personnel
- Knowledge of Philadelphia's parks system and community needs
