Job Highlights:

Responsibilities
- Administer and calculate pension benefits strictly in accordance with New York State laws and federal regulations (ERISA, IRC).
- Review and process retirement applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Conduct actuarial research and data analysis to support pension plan reporting and financial forecasting.
- Provide technical guidance to staff and resolve complex member inquiries regarding pension calculations and eligibility.
- Collaborate with the HR team to update pension plan policies and ensure compliance with changing legislation.
- Utilize HRIS systems to maintain up-to-date beneficiary and contribution records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits administration, or actuarial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros) and experience with SAP or Oracle HR systems.
- Knowledge of New York State specific pension laws and regulations is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and the public.
