Responsibilities
- Administer and process federal pension plans, including FERS and CSRS systems.
- Manage member inquiries regarding retirement estimates and benefit calculations.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and data integrity within the retirement database.
- Prepare and submit required compliance reports to federal agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with actuaries and financial planners to ensure accurate plan valuations.
- Conduct internal audits to identify and rectify discrepancies in payroll and pension data.
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal employees and retirees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal benefits administration or pension plan management.
- Deep understanding of ERISA regulations, 401(k) plans, and federal retirement systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pension administration software (e.g., ADP, SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in data entry and reconciliation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
