Responsibilities
- Process and review pension applications, retirement requests, and benefit calculations for eligible government employees.
- Verify employment history, service credits, and contribution data to ensure accurate benefit disbursement.
- Respond to inquiries regarding pension status, vesting periods, and retirement options via phone and email.
- Ensure strict adherence to government regulations, privacy laws (FERPA/GDPR), and internal audit protocols.
- Collaborate with the payroll and HR teams to resolve discrepancies in employee records.
- Maintain and update digital and physical records of all pension transactions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pension administration, benefits management, or government finance.
- Strong working knowledge of state and federal retirement systems and government compliance standards.
- Proven ability to work effectively during night shifts and handle high-volume workload independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration is preferred.
