Responsibilities
- Analyze pension fund investments, liabilities, and actuarial projections
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and North Carolina pension regulations
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and performance reports
- Collaborate with investment committees on asset allocation strategies
- Manage participant inquiries and retirement benefit calculations
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments for pension portfolios
- Present findings to government stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience
- Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) or ASA designation preferred
- Proficiency in pension software (e.g., Millennium, Albridge)
- Deep understanding of defined benefit plans and ERISA regulations
- Strong analytical skills with financial modeling expertise
