Responsibilities
- Lead policy development for regional economic initiatives and urban regeneration projects
- Analyze complex datasets and stakeholder feedback to inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Coordinate cross-departmental working groups to deliver integrated policy solutions
- Represent the department at high-level stakeholder meetings and parliamentary consultations
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and prepare impact assessment reports
- Mentor junior policy officers and contribute to departmental knowledge management
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in government policy development or public sector consulting
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative data analysis and policy evaluation methods
- Proven track record of delivering complex policy projects within government frameworks
- Deep understanding of UK regional governance structures and levelling-up agenda
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and cross-departmental collaboration skills
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, RIBA, CIPFA) preferred
