Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cross-government policies on regional economic development
- Lead stakeholder engagement with local authorities, businesses, and community groups
- Analyze complex socio-economic data to inform evidence-based policy decisions
- Prepare ministerial briefings and policy impact assessments
- Collaborate with Treasury, Cabinet Office, and other government departments
- Manage policy delivery timelines and monitor implementation progress
- Represent the department at national and international forums
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in economics, public policy, urban planning, or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in policy development or public sector advisory role
- Proven expertise in stakeholder management and cross-departmental collaboration
- Advanced analytical skills with data interpretation experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Knowledge of UK government policy processes and procedures
- Right to work in the UK and security clearance eligibility
