Responsibilities
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for housing regeneration and local economic growth initiatives
- Lead cross-departmental working groups to align government strategies with Levelling Up objectives
- Produce high-impact ministerial briefings and policy impact assessments
- Engage with local authorities, developers, and community stakeholders to implement national policies
- Monitor and evaluate policy effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative metrics
- Advise ministers on emerging trends in urban development and regional inequality
- Represent the department at parliamentary select committees and stakeholder forums
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related social science
- Minimum 5 years' experience in policy development within central/local government or think tank
- Demonstrable expertise in housing policy or regional economic development
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of influencing ministerial decision-making
- Deep understanding of UK governance structures and policy lifecycle
- Security clearance eligibility (SC level)
