Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive policy strategies aligned with state objectives and Boston's urban priorities
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data and legislative impacts to inform high-stakes decision-making
- Lead cross-departmental task forces addressing housing, transportation, and economic development
- Prepare executive briefings and legislative testimony for cabinet-level officials
- Manage stakeholder engagement with community organizations, industry leaders, and advocacy groups
- Monitor federal compliance requirements and adapt policies accordingly
- Mentor junior policy analysts and oversee program evaluation frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years progressive policy experience in municipal or state government
- Expertise in quantitative analysis and policy modeling with demonstrated impact
- Proven track record in stakeholder management and consensus-building
- Deep understanding of Massachusetts legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with publication record
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and policy simulation software
