Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues related to economic development and workforce programs
- Develop data-driven recommendations for legislative and administrative action
- Prepare concise policy briefs, reports, and presentations for executive leadership
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement with public agencies, businesses, and community organizations
- Monitor federal and state legislative trends affecting Washington's economy
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement policy initiatives
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, R, or Python)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to navigate complex political landscapes
- Knowledge of Washington state government operations
- Experience with stakeholder management and public engagement
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
