Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations aligned with City Council priorities
- Prepare detailed reports, memoranda, and presentations for executive leadership
- Coordinate with 50+ city departments to implement policy initiatives
- Monitor legislative developments and assess potential impacts on Chicago communities
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and industry partners
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy analysis or public sector consulting
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and data visualization tools
- Proven track record of developing successful municipal policy frameworks
- Deep knowledge of Chicago's governmental structure and community dynamics
- Strong written/verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts
- Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to travel to all Chicago neighborhoods
