Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulations to develop actionable policy recommendations
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research on social, economic, and environmental issues
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders to implement evidence-based solutions
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and legislative testimony for executive leadership
- Monitor federal policy trends and assess implications for Indiana state programs
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing public health, education, or infrastructure challenges
- Maintain compliance with state budgetary and reporting requirements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, Python, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks
- Strong understanding of Indiana state government operations and legislative process
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with executive-level presentation experience
- Valid Indiana driver's license and ability to travel statewide as needed
