Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate municipal policies related to housing, transportation, and environmental sustainability
- Analyze complex datasets to inform evidence-based decision-making for city council
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives and lead stakeholder engagement sessions
- Prepare comprehensive reports and policy briefs for public hearings and legislative processes
- Monitor federal/state regulatory changes and assess local impact
- Mentor junior staff on policy research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R) and GIS mapping
- Proven track record of successful policy implementation in municipal settings
- Strong knowledge of California state regulatory frameworks
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
