Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban policy issues and recommend evidence-based solutions
- Lead cross-functional teams in drafting zoning amendments and land use regulations
- Conduct comprehensive research on demographic trends and economic development
- Present findings to community boards, elected officials, and public stakeholders
- Collaborate with Mayoral offices on citywide strategic planning initiatives
- Manage large-scale public engagement processes and community feedback analysis
- Develop policy briefs and legislative testimony for City Council hearings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in municipal government or urban planning
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software and spatial data analysis
- Expert knowledge of NYC's Zoning Resolution and Uniform Land Use Review Procedure
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with public presentation experience
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
- Valid New York State driver's license required
