Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy impacts and draft legislative recommendations for state economic initiatives
- Collaborate with legislative committees, agencies, and stakeholders to develop evidence-based solutions
- Lead cross-functional projects on workforce development and business climate improvement
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executive leadership and public hearings
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess implications for Washington State programs
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee policy research quality control
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative/qualitative research methodologies and statistical tools
- Deep knowledge of Washington State government operations and legislative processes
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- US citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
