Responsibilities
- Analyze economic data and market trends to inform policy development
- Research best practices in economic development and workforce initiatives
- Develop comprehensive policy recommendations for legislative review
- Coordinate with state agencies and local partners on implementation strategies
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior leadership
- Monitor policy outcomes and recommend adjustments as needed
- Represent the department in stakeholder meetings and public forums
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Policy, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in economic data analysis tools (e.g., Stata, R)
- Experience developing legislative proposals and policy frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Tennessee's economic landscape and regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse stakeholder groups
- Tennessee residency required at time of hire
