Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate policy proposals aligned with Mayor's Office priorities
- Analyze legislative impacts and regulatory compliance requirements
- Lead cross-departmental task forces on urban policy initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for City Council
- Monitor federal/state policy developments affecting municipal operations
- Manage stakeholder engagement with community organizations and agencies
- Oversee data collection and performance metrics for policy effectiveness
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy analysis
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Proven track record of implementing successful policy initiatives
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Deep understanding of Chicago's governmental structure
- Valid Illinois driver's license (required for field work)
