Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban policy issues including economic development, housing, and environmental sustainability
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations aligned with Cleveland's strategic vision
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for City Council and executive leadership
- Collaborate with 20+ city departments to implement cross-functional initiatives
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and recommend adjustments
- Engage with community stakeholders and advocacy groups
- Research best practices from peer municipalities and national models
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in quantitative analysis (SPSS, R, or Python) and qualitative research methods
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable policy recommendations
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills demonstrated through published reports
- Deep understanding of Ohio municipal governance structures
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferred
