Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and provide data-driven recommendations to city leadership
- Conduct comprehensive research and impact assessments for proposed legislation
- Develop policy briefs and implementation strategies for city council initiatives
- Coordinate with municipal departments to align policy objectives with operational goals
- Monitor legislative/regulatory changes and assess implications for Dallas residents
- Present findings to stakeholders through clear, persuasive reports and presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or similar)
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Deep understanding of Texas municipal governance structures
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with policy audiences
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
