Responsibilities
- Research and analyze local government policies to recommend evidence-based solutions
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and executive reports for council review
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to implement city-wide programs
- Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions with community leaders and residents
- Monitor legislative developments and assess impacts on Metro operations
- Manage grant applications and compliance for public funding projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in municipal government or policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, Excel, Tableau)
- Proven ability to draft complex legislation and regulatory documents
- Strong interpersonal skills for public testimony and community outreach
- Kentucky residency required within 6 months of hire
