Responsibilities
- Analyze complex economic data and trends to inform state policy decisions
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative proposals
- Coordinate cross-agency initiatives on workforce development and technology
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive leadership
- Manage grant programs supporting small businesses and underserved communities
- Monitor federal regulatory changes affecting state commerce initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, or Stata)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation and policy frameworks
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and public testimony
- Knowledge of Washington state's economic landscape
- Valid Washington State driver's license
