Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive urban policy recommendations aligned with NYC's sustainability and equity goals
- Analyze complex demographic, economic, and land-use data to inform decision-making
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community boards, elected officials, and advocacy groups
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for City Council and Mayoral offices
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives on affordable housing and zoning reforms
- Monitor federal/state policy impacts and advise on municipal adaptations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis (R, Python, SPSS) and GIS software
- Proven track record of developing actionable policy recommendations
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Knowledge of NYC's land use review process and municipal governance
- Valid New York State driver's license required
