Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex state policies related to economic development and workforce initiatives
- Develop legislative proposals and regulatory frameworks for stakeholder review
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic projects across Washington State
- Present findings to legislative committees, industry partners, and community stakeholders
- Monitor policy impacts through data analysis and recommend evidence-based adjustments
- Manage grant programs supporting small businesses and underserved communities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Expertise in economic development, workforce training, or technology policy
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS)
- Proven track record of drafting legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement and public presentation skills
- Washington State residency required at time of hire
