Responsibilities
- Analyze state legislation, regulations, and budget impacts
- Develop policy briefs and implementation roadmaps
- Coordinate with agency stakeholders and legislative committees
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using data visualization tools
- Present findings to executive leadership and public forums
- Monitor federal policy developments affecting Kansas
- Mentor junior analysts on research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, SAS)
- Deep understanding of Kansas legislative processes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Kansas driver's license (required for travel)
- Experience with public budgeting systems preferred
- Project management certification a plus
