Responsibilities
- Analyze state legislation, regulations, and policy impacts using quantitative/qualitative research methods
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for executive leadership
- Coordinate with state agencies and legislative stakeholders to implement policy initiatives
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess implications for Georgia's operations
- Present findings to legislative committees and senior officials
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing public sector challenges
- Maintain compliance with Georgia Sunshine Laws and public records requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis (SPSS, R) and policy modeling tools
- Deep knowledge of Georgia state government structure and legislative processes
- Proven ability to draft clear, persuasive policy documents and legislative language
- Experience testifying before legislative committees or public bodies
- Valid Georgia driver's license and ability to travel statewide as needed
