Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate state policies using quantitative/qualitative research methods
- Collaborate with legislators and agency heads to implement strategic initiatives
- Analyze legislative impacts and prepare detailed policy briefings for stakeholders
- Manage cross-functional teams to execute government programs
- Monitor federal regulations and advise on state compliance strategies
- Present policy recommendations to legislative committees and public forums
- Maintain compliance with Texas Administrative Code and state statutes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in Texas legislative processes and regulatory frameworks
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for policy documentation
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Experience managing government grant programs preferred
