Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft actionable recommendations for executive leadership
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using public datasets and stakeholder interviews
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for state officials
- Coordinate cross-agency task forces to implement statewide initiatives
- Monitor federal policy changes and assess impacts on North Carolina operations
- Present findings to legislative committees and public forums
- Maintain compliance with state budgetary and regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Proven track record of developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Deep knowledge of North Carolina state government operations
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Experience with legislative processes and stakeholder engagement
