Responsibilities
- Analyze complex urban policies and regulatory frameworks to recommend evidence-based solutions
- Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives with community groups, nonprofits, and government agencies
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for city council review
- Monitor federal/state legislative changes affecting local government operations
- Manage data collection and quantitative analysis using advanced statistical software
- Develop implementation strategies for adopted policies with measurable KPIs
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces to address cross-cutting urban challenges
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal government or public policy analysis
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing municipal policy initiatives
- Deep understanding of federal/state-local government dynamics and compliance requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with public presentation experience
- Valid Florida driver's license and ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends
- PHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
