Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership
- Research and draft legislative proposals, reports, and policy briefs
- Collaborate with interagency task forces on cross-functional initiatives
- Present findings to stakeholders including congressional committees and advisory boards
- Monitor legislative developments and assess potential impacts on DC residents
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community organizations and industry partners
- Maintain compliance with federal and district regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, Python)
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation and policy documents
- Deep understanding of DC's political landscape and legislative processes
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Active Secret Security Clearance
