Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate state policy proposals using quantitative analysis and stakeholder feedback
- Prepare legislative briefs and testimony for state congressional committees
- Collaborate with agency directors to implement strategic policy initiatives
- Lead cross-functional task forces addressing complex public challenges
- Monitor federal regulations and assess impacts on Texas communities
- Present policy recommendations to senior leadership and legislative bodies
- Manage grant programs supporting Dallas-area community initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government policy analysis or legislative affairs
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software
- Strong understanding of Texas legislative processes and state budget cycles
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with public speaking experience
- Experience managing stakeholder engagement across diverse communities
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Professional certification (e.g., CPPA) preferred
