Responsibilities
- Analyze complex health data and legislation to inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Collaborate with legislative teams to draft and review health-related bills and regulations
- Develop implementation strategies for statewide public health initiatives
- Conduct stakeholder outreach and facilitate cross-agency partnerships
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony for leadership
- Monitor federal and state health policy trends to identify emerging opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis or legislative experience in government/NGO
- Expertise in health policy frameworks and Texas legislative processes
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, Tableau)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with policy audiences
- Valid Texas driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
