Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues with socioeconomic implications
- Draft legislative briefs and policy recommendations for executive review
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement across government agencies and community groups
- Monitor implementation of new policies and evaluate effectiveness
- Present findings to legislative committees and senior leadership
- Manage policy databases and maintain accurate documentation
- Mentor junior analysts on research methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years progressive policy analysis experience in government sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS)
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Texas government security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Experience with legislative bill tracking systems
- Valid Texas driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required
