Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate federal urban policy frameworks using advanced quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Lead cross-agency task forces to coordinate metropolitan infrastructure initiatives
- Conduct comprehensive impact assessments for proposed legislation and regulatory changes
- Present policy recommendations to congressional committees and executive leadership
- Manage multimillion-dollar grant programs supporting local urban development projects
- Author authoritative policy briefs and testimony for legislative hearings
- Mentor junior analysts while maintaining rigorous quality control standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of federal government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, Stata, SPSS) and GIS mapping tools
- Demonstrated success in drafting legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Expertise in metropolitan development issues (housing, transportation, sustainability)
- Active security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with legislative experience
