Responsibilities
- Analyze federal legislation and policies affecting veterans' healthcare and benefits
- Prepare detailed policy briefs and recommendations for senior leadership
- Collaborate with congressional offices and federal agencies on veterans' initiatives
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support policy development
- Represent the department at interagency meetings and public forums
- Monitor implementation of veterans' programs across New England
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of federal government or policy analysis experience
- Deep knowledge of veterans' affairs legislation and regulations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
