Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate legislative proposals for District Council review
- Analyze fiscal impacts of policy initiatives using quantitative modeling
- Coordinate cross-agency task forces on public health and transportation initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefings for executive leadership
- Monitor federal regulatory changes affecting local governance
- Lead community engagement sessions to gather stakeholder feedback
- Manage research projects with external academic partners
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or Python)
- Demonstrated expertise in DC municipal regulations and federal compliance
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with stakeholder management and public testimony preparation
- Valid driver's license with clean record
