Responsibilities
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data to inform evidence-based policy recommendations
- Develop and evaluate legislative proposals impacting workforce development programs
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with government agencies, businesses, and community organizations
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and presentations for executive leadership
- Monitor implementation of existing policies and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives
- Stay current on federal and state regulatory changes affecting labor markets
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management and public outreach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Knowledge of New York State labor market dynamics preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
