Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze complex policy proposals for urban development and environmental initiatives
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using GIS mapping, statistical modeling, and stakeholder interviews
- Present findings to legislative committees, city councils, and community forums
- Coordinate with 15+ state/local agencies to implement policy frameworks
- Monitor policy implementation outcomes and recommend adaptive strategies
- Manage $2M+ annual budget allocations for pilot programs
- Mentor junior analysts and lead cross-departmental task forces
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sectors
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, R/Python, and advanced Excel modeling
- Demonstrated success in securing policy adoption at municipal/state level
- California Public Records Act and CEQA compliance expertise
- Valid California driver's license (required for field site visits)
- Clearance through background investigation (must start within 30 days)
