Responsibilities
- Analyze healthcare legislation, regulations, and emerging trends to inform policy recommendations
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives to improve health equity outcomes across DC communities
- Develop quantitative and qualitative reports for the Mayor's Office and City Council
- Collaborate with federal agencies and community stakeholders on public health programs
- Manage policy implementation timelines and evaluate program effectiveness
- Present findings to executive leadership and legislative bodies
- Mentor junior analysts and oversee policy research projects
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Health, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Expertise in healthcare policy, Medicaid programs, or health equity initiatives
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS) and policy modeling software
- Strong writing skills with demonstrated ability to produce executive-level reports
- Experience with DC government processes and legislative frameworks
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
