Responsibilities
- Analyze complex municipal policies and recommend data-driven solutions for urban challenges
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and legislative recommendations for City Council
- Collaborate with 15+ city departments to align strategic objectives
- Lead community engagement initiatives to gather stakeholder input
- Monitor federal/state legislative changes affecting local governance
- Prepare fiscal impact analyses for proposed policies
- Maintain compliance with municipal charter and state regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis software (R, SPSS, or Python)
- Deep understanding of Texas municipal governance structures
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
