Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and draft actionable recommendations for county leadership
- Conduct comprehensive research using quantitative and qualitative methodologies
- Develop strategic implementation plans for county-wide policy initiatives
- Coordinate cross-departmental stakeholder engagement and public outreach
- Monitor legislative developments and assess impacts on county operations
- Present findings to elected officials via concise executive briefings
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and county regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in government or public sector
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis and statistical modeling
- Demonstrated success in developing policy recommendations for elected officials
- Strong proficiency with GIS software and data visualization tools
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Experience with Maryland state/local government processes preferred
