Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for state agencies
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and implementation roadmaps
- Coordinate with federal/local government stakeholders on cross-jurisdictional projects
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using government databases
- Present findings to senior officials and legislative committees
- Monitor emerging policy trends and compliance requirements
- Manage grant programs and inter-agency agreements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years government/public sector experience required
- Advanced knowledge of California state administrative procedures
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (R, SPSS) or policy modeling tools
- Clearance for government data security protocols (required)
- Valid California driver's license (position involves travel)
- US citizenship and CA residency (mandatory for state positions)
