Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate complex public policies aligned with city strategic priorities
- Analyze legislative impacts and recommend evidence-based solutions to County leadership
- Lead cross-departmental initiatives addressing housing, transportation, and social equity
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and presentations for Board of Supervisors
- Manage stakeholder engagement with community groups, nonprofits, and private sector partners
- Oversee data collection and quantitative analysis using advanced statistical methods
- Monitor emerging policy trends and best practices nationwide
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Urban Planning, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive policy analysis experience in municipal or county government
- Expertise in quantitative data analysis with proficiency in statistical software (R, Python, SAS)
- Proven track record of developing successful policy recommendations implemented at government level
- Deep knowledge of San Francisco's governmental structure and policy landscape
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects with competing priorities
- Valid California driver's license required
