Responsibilities
- Analyze complex policy issues and recommend evidence-based solutions to City Council
- Prepare detailed reports and legislative summaries for public officials
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on strategic initiatives
- Conduct stakeholder outreach and community engagement sessions
- Monitor federal/state legislative impacts on local operations
- Manage program budgets and grant compliance requirements
- Present findings to public audiences and elected officials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government/nonprofit
- Advanced data analysis proficiency (SQL, R, or Python)
- Experience with public budgeting and grant management
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to navigate complex political environments
- Valid Washington State driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
