Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive policy proposals aligned with Atlanta's strategic goals
- Analyze complex urban issues using statistical modeling and research methodologies
- Coordinate with 15+ city departments to implement legislative initiatives
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for City Council review
- Manage public consultation processes and stakeholder engagement
- Monitor federal/state compliance requirements for municipal programs
- Mentor junior analysts and maintain policy documentation systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of government or public policy experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated success in developing municipal policy frameworks
- Strong written communication with sample policy reports required
- Active Georgia government security clearance eligibility
- Experience with Atlanta's municipal government processes
- Project management certification (PMP) or equivalent
